Luke DePonceau, left, and Madison Brooks, right, crowned the Blessed Mother during May Crowning, a special ceremony held in Sacred Heart Church, Lakewood. Looking on is the Rev. Monsignor Joseph Dowdell, pastor. To receive this honor of crowning Mary, Luke and Madison had perfect attendance almost every year since being in the 3-year old class, a fifth-grade pupil, attending retreats, participating in special programs throughout the years, youth activities and attended vacation Bible schools.
