Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a catered chicken barbecue in the Kennedy Fire Hall on July 18. The cost is $7.50 per person and reservations are required; contact Shirley Covey at 665-5991. The committee is Cliff and Liz Barnes, Donna Lee Letro and Norma Vine. Val Nunn will provide entertainment. Payment for the Aug. 14 trip on the Seneca Lake Cruise Line is also due at this time. The cost is $90.
Walt and July Heilman, Shirley Schauers and Jan Smith were the committee when the seniors met recently in the fire hall for a potluck lunch meeting. Eva Baker led table grace, called tables with Bob Criss, called the meeting to order, led the flag salute and song, accompanied by Lou Ball on piano. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read. Discussion was on the Seneca Lake Cruise. Participants will leave the fire hall at 8:15 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrating birthdays were Bob Cross, June town, David Covey, Marilyn Johnson, Sally Patchen and Ron Baker. Anniversaries were observed by Terry and Karen Lincoln, 38 years, Cliff and Liz Barnes, 20 years.
