For the second time in less than two weeks, a pedestrian has been hit by a car on Washington Street.

According to a Jamestown police report, a 43-year-old man was crossing Washington Street just before 8 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle driving south on Washington Street. The victim was transported to WCA Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.

On June 18, Terry T. Harper was killed in a motor vehicle accident just a few feet away from the site of Sunday's accident. Harper was crossing Washington Street at 13th Street when he was hit by a vehicle. He later died as a result of his injuries at WCA Hospital.

Jamestown Police were assisted at the scene by the Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team. No charges have been filed.
