The Frewsburg Lions Club held its annual installation dinner featuring a chicken barbecue at the Frewsburg Rest Home pavillion. President Tom Swanson welcomed 25 members along with spouses and friends. Guests of the club were Chuck Telford, Jamestown Lions member and former district cabinet member, and his wife, Jerri. Telford presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to longtime members Larry Sandberg and Bob Sandberg. Melvin Jones is the founder of Lions Club International. The award is the foundation's highest honor and represents humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion and concern for the less fortunate.
Martha Dove, zone chair, conducted a ceremony inducting new members, Thomas Holland, sponsored by Don Dove, and Danielle O'Connor, sponsored by Larry Gauger.
Officers for the coming year were installed by Don Dove.

Larry Sandberg presented caterer, Debbie Stearns with a gift card from the club in appreciation for her service during the year. Bob Sandberg presented faithful attendance awards to members. Chuck Telford invited all Frewsburg members to the Jamestown Lions Club 90th anniversary to be held on July 10. The Jamestown Lions Club sponsored the organization of the Frewsburg Lions Club in 1945.
