The Lakewood YMCA will hold its annual Firecracker Run, a 10K race, on Wednesday starting from the Lakewood Beach.
The races feature men's and women's 10K, a two-mile run and a two-mile walk.
All participants should pre-register to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Late registration will be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Lakewood Beach. The race will start promptly at 9 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers in each division. The top five male and female finishers will receive awards for the two-mile run and two-mile walk. .
Children's races will be offered for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Children will be placed in age groups and run different distances according to their age. The children's race will start at 9:30 a.m. Following the children's race will be the annual M&T money hunt beginning at 11 a.m. at the playground. All children who participate will receive a prize.
The race has become one of the largest road races in the area with more than 500 participants. The race is part of the Chautauqua Striders Runner of the Year series.
The cost is $20 for adults registering today, with entry fees received the day of the race costing $25. Children's races are free.
