To the Reader's Forum:
I read with much interest the articles in The Post-Journal concerning area contractors taking innocent people's money and either not doing the jobs or not finishing jobs that the people have signed contracts for.
I too, have encountered such a person. I too, have gone the route of small claims court, receiving a judgment, yet not being able to collect a penny.
How is this not stealing? I am not able to mention his name or the name of his business, yet he is able to take advantage of trusting people ... some elderly ... some widows ... some with little means. He goes about his business and is active in the community ... in church ... in theater production ... generally very well thought of.
How do the powers that be allow this guy to continue ... how do we as citizens let other people know so they too do not become victims.
It's like we have been violated and he goes on violating with no consequences.
I may not be able to print his name but I can mine.
