Doris Jean Anderson, 66, of 888 Hunt Road, formerly of 91 Harris Ave., died at 3:05 a.m. Saturday (June 30, 2012) at her home.
She was born November 12, 1945, in Fairmont, W.V., a daughter of the late Rev. Oswald E. and Ruby Burlingame Anderson.
She attended Jamestown schools and was a member of the Jamestown Free Methodist Church.

Doris loved being in church, especially all of the hymns and the people. She always enjoyed reading Bible stories to everyone at her home. Doris also loved animals and volunteered at the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
She is survived by two sisters, Martha (Paul) Cooley of Gerry and Kathryn 'Kay' (Mort) Armstrong of Kimball Stand.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1993 and mother in 1998.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Brett Heintzman will officiate. Burial will be in the Gerry Cemetery.
Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday in the funeral home.
