Betty L. Marsh

Betty L. Marsh, 68, of 212 Prospect St., died Thursday June 28, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

A native of Jamestown, she was born Oct. 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Carl and V. Shirley Lindberg Lundsten.

She was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking. For Betty, everything was about fami-ly. Not only was she was extremely close to her chil-dren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also to her extended family and friends, whom she al-ways welcomed and made feel special in their own unique way.

Surviving are her hus-band of 50 years, John W. Marsh, whom she married June 16, 1962; four chil-dren: Lori Koehnlein of Windsor Locks, Conn., John (Shawn) Marsh Jr. of Vernon, Conn., Becky L. Marsh of Jamestown, and Jason (Robin) Marsh of Manchester, Conn; 13 grandchildren: John, Ni-cholas and Mathew Burton, Britany, Briana, Morgan and Jamie Marsh, Stephen Shurkus, Jason, Alissa and Mariah Marsh, Julia and Theresa Marsh; two great- grandchildren: Nicholas and Emma Burton; two brothers: James (Dianne) Lundsten and Steven (Kim) Lundsten; and two sisters: Nancy Lundsten and Patty (Mike) Calimeri.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Marsh in 2010.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende will officiate.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Betty Marsh Cancer Fund, c/o M&T Bank.
