The Chautauqua Shores Chorus recently put on a program at the Frewsburg Rest Home in recognition of Father's Day. A quartet within the group, named Noteworthy, also sang a few songs, one of which was reworded slightly to be sung exclusively for the men. The audience joined in when the chorus sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" and "God Bless America."
The chorus sings four-part harmony, barbershop style. The chorus practices every Monday night at 7 at the First Baptist Church, located at 358 E. Fifth St. in Jamestown.Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to come to a practice. Those who enjoy singing and would like a night out harmonizing and having fun with a group of women might be interested in stopping by. The ability to read music isn't required because learning tapes are available for each song. To book a performance from the Chautauqua Shores Chorus, call Claudia at 962-8411.
