Compeer Chautauqua is pleased to announce Eric Wright of Westfield as June's Mentor of the Month.
Wright has been a volunteer with Compeer since September 2010. His initial interest in becoming a Mentor was to gain experience that would benefit him in his quest to pursue a career in criminal justice and to provide positive experiences to a young person.
Wright has been matched with a young boy named Austin for almost a year, and their activities have ranged from trips to the library and playground to movies to playing video games and participating in Compeer sponsored events such as bowling.
Wright is a young man who has made the commitment to spend time with his friend Austin twice a month, and as time goes on and they get to know each other better, they are finding more and more activities that they can enjoy together. Compeer would like to recognize Wright for his dedication to Compeer and his friend Austin.
