A Buffalo man wanted by the U.S. Marshalls Office, and a city man both face drug charges after being caught red-handed Thursday morning.
The Jamestown Police Department, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Violent Fugitive Task Force took Andrew Q. Garner, 32, of Buffalo and Alex Oliveras, 22, of Jamestown into custody at 11 a.m.
Drug investigators from the Jamestown Police Department along with agents from the assisting agencies responded to 36 Fairmount Ave. after receiving information that Garner was at the location. Garner was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service after a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court. He allegedly violated the terms of his federal probation.

Garner was found inside the residence in the company of Oliveras. It is believed that both subjects were in the middle of a drug transaction when officers and agents entered the home as a half-ounce of powder cocaine and a quantity of cash were located with the subjects.
This arrest comes only 23 days after Oliveras was previously charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. During the previous incident, which occurred on June 5, Oliveras was taken into custody after officers from the Jamestown Police Department found him in possession of a large quantity of crack cocaine and cash.
Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where they are awaiting arraignment.
