Bernice E. Whippo, 87, a resident of the Corry Manor, Corry, Pa., died there Monday morning, June 25, 2012, after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Youngsville, Pa., to the late Guy and Edna Hedstrand McIntyre.
She has resided most of her life in Corry. She was a 1942 graduate of Youngs-ville High School. Bernice was employed with the former Raymonds and now known as Corry Federal Credit Union as a teller and loan officer, retiring after 28 years service. She was a member of the Corry Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Clair M. Whippo, whom she mar-ried June 22, 1974, in Cor-ry, Pa.; eight children: David Whippo and wife, Karen of Erie, Pa.; Caroll Humphrey and husband, Tom of Glasgow, Kentucky; Marjorie White and husband, Homer of Albany, N.Y.; Paula Trisket and hus-band, John of Corry, Pa.; Candace Frontera and hus-band, John of Union City, Pa.; Alana Holenbeck and companion, Jim Holcomb of Warren, Pa.; Robin Willi-ams and husband, Mike of Corry, Pa.; Teena Chiricu-zio and companion, John of Sunset Bay, N.Y.; one sis-ter, Delores Wheatley of Monroe, Wash.; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first hus-band, Frank Chiricuzio; a son, William Chiricuzio; two brothers: Duane and John McIntyre; and grand-son, Todd Harvey.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and time. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pittsfield, Pa.
