Abate To Hold Membership Drive

SHERIDAN - The Chautauqua County Chapter of Abate of N.Y. will hold a fun run and membership drive Saturday at Sheridan Bay Park, Route 5 in Sheridan. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with kickstands up at noon. A meal will be served at 5 p.m. and live music by Pressure Sensitive will take place beginning at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person. A Chinese auction will take place and a 32-inch LCD flat-screen TV will also be given away. For camping information, call 366-5831.

Senior Report To Host Fred Croscut

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Fred Croscut as the guest on the Saturday television program. Croscut serves on the Chautauqua County Legislature. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of Senior Report, has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

Falconer To Hold Boot Drive

FALCONER - The Falconer Volunteer Fire Department will hold a boot drive at the four corners of Falconer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Market In The Park To Open

CELORON - Celoron will host Market in the Park. Starting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, local growers and regional producers will provide fresh garden products, baked goods and other items. The Market in the Park will be open every Saturday, rain or shine, at Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron. Celoron Park offers free parking and provides space for vendors to display and sell their products. Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting at the Chautauqua County Airport on Thursday at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
