CHAUTAUQUA - The team of Jason Piurkoski, Dan Colwell, Jacob Colwell and John Tanner combined to shoot 130, which was good enough to seal a one-shot victory in the Men's Division of the Chautauqua Golf Club Pro-Am on Monday.
Bobby Hogan, Joe Johnson, Scott Smith and Everett Bensink and Dwayne Randall, and Chuck Fowler, John Jablonski and John Jablonski III tied for second place with 131s. Brian Muench, Al Wager, Tony Caruth and Brian Seibert followed with 132.
In the Women's Division, three teams tied for first place with 126s. They were Marlene Davis, Louisa Rutman, Dale Matthews and Mary Khose; Jennifer Eberlein, Leslie Peet, Edith Bensink and Ann Knepshield; and Kathy O'Connor, Jennifer Flanagen, Julie Liscynski and Jane Stirniman.
Patty Jordan-Smith, Barb Blanchard, Mark Park and Linda King; and Karen Bukowski, Amy Watson, Judy Gregory and Susan El were next at 130. Suellen Northrup, Suzanne Gross, Jane Stone and Pat Garland shot 138 and Kathy Cassese, Robin Foster, Martha Cruikshank and Margaret Thompson fired a 139 total.
In closest-to-the-pin competition, Jack Colewell earned the honor for the men on No. 6 and Linda King for the women on No. 2.
Top local professionals were Rich Burlett of Chautauqua Golf Club with 74 to tie for seventh, Pat Damore of Conewango Valley CC tied for 11th with 75, Mike Kaye from Moon Brook CC was tied for 13th with 76, Jack Widger of Elkdale CC and Ryan Jones from Moon Brook CC each shot 78s and Troy Moss of Chautauqua GC had 79.
The top pros for the men were Dwayne Randall from Peek'n Peak Resort and Southwestern and St. Bonaventure graduate Chris Stoddard from Park CC with 68s.
Marlene Davis fired a 71 for first place in the individual pro women's scoring, followed by Jennifer Eberlein with 77 and Northrup had 79 for third.
