The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into an incident that occurred early Sunday morning at a large party in Kiantone.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to 447 Hall Road, Kiantone, at 1:27 a.m. Sunday.

One person was stabbed in the abdomen and was treated at WCA Hospital, according to a police report. Another person was stabbed in the back and taken first to WCA Hospital before being flown to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Police also report that a third person was assaulted and had a neck injury. That person was treated first at WCA Hospital and then flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie.

"We know that there was more than one assailant at this point," said Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace. "We also know that there was in excess of 20 people at the gathering, which was held on privately owned land. There was some sort of party going on there. We're currently trying to track down witnesses. There were people that were seriously injured as a result of these actions and we do anticipate that we will be making arrests in the near future."

Lakewood-Busti, Ellicott and Carroll police officers all responded to the scene along with New York State Troopers.

Anyone with information about the stabbings is asked to call the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office at 753-2131. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
