Vector Marketing has opened a new sales office in Jamestown run by Jeffery Mason, Vector district manager.
The Jamestown office, 2200 Foote Ave., Jamestown, will be used for the recruitment and training of new sales representatives as well as for team meetings where additional training and mentorship is provided. Sales representatives market Vector's product, CUTCO Cutlery, through in-home presentations and use the sales office as home base.
As an independent contractor, Vector district managers individually own their Vector sales office. Being a Vector district manager allows Mason to be an entrepreneur while having guidance and support from corporate headquarters. Following Vector's strict policy to promote from within, all managers begin as sales representatives.
As is the case with all managers in the company, Mason began as a sales representative selling CUTCO and worked his way up through the company becoming a field sales manager, sales manager and assistant manager before receiving his most recent promotion. Mason studied at Jamestown Community College and began selling cutco in February 2011.
"I am a few steps ahead of my peers because of the Vector opportunity. My family has always lived pay check to pay check and I am determined not to live that way," Mason said.
