Annette I. Shaffer, 68, of 473 South Main St. Jamestown passed away unex-pectedly Thursday (June 21, 2012) in the emergency room of W.C.A. Hospital.
A lifelong area resident, she was born April 10, 1944 in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of Irene Harsen Gregg and the late Ernest J. Gregg.
She was a graduate of Frewsburg Central School and was currently working part time at Kervins in Fal-coner. In earlier years she had worked for the former Crawford Furniture and the Machinists Union.

She was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Club, an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was a very sociable, loving person and was also very artistic.
Surviving are her mother Irene H. Gregg of James-town; a daughter Michelle Carlson of Frewsburg; a sis-ter Barbara Feasenhiser of Tallahassee, FL; and a brother Dennis E. Gregg of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her father who died Feb. 8, 1998; a sister Brenda J. Iraca who died January 3, 2011; a grand-son Jon Eric Carlson; her maternal grandparents Walter E. and Mildred A. Harsen; and her paternal grandparents Lloyd J. and Anna Gregg.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Parsons, pastor of the Mayville Un-ited Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
