Donna Christine Solsbee, 69, of 166 Dunham Ave. Jamestown, N.Y. passed away at 9:45 a.m. Thursday (June 21, 2012) in W.C.A. Hospital.
A lifelong area resident she was born Nov. 23, 1942 in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Alvin and Gertrude Pearson Morey.
She was a 1960 graduate of Jamestown High School and had been employed by Falconer Metal Specialties for 17 years.

She was a member of the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion Auxili-ary, the Chautauqua Lake Fish Club and the Lake-wood Rod & Gun Club. She also loved to knit and spent many hours working on her knitting machine.
Surviving are a son, Steven J. (Sheila) Carlson, and a daughter, Kerrin (Da-vid) Carlson-Moffett, both of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Shelby Francis, John Carlson, Mallissa Carlson, all of Jamestown; three step chil-dren: Yvette Solsbee, Lynette Carr and Collette Keith, all of Jamestown; several step grandchildren; a brother, Richard Morey of S.C.; and a sister, Linda Hedman of ME.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Solsbee, who died Feb. 24, 2007; and two sisters: Phyllis Plisk and Barbara J. Morey.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tues-day in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Huber will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11:30 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
