To Meet Monday
The Cornell Cooperative Extension - Chautauqua County Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Frank W. Bratt Agricultural Center in Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
Nursery Class Begins Sunday
Christ First United Methodist Church, corner of Lakeview and Buffalo streets, will host a nursery class and children's church during the regular summer worship at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday, June 24 through Sept. 2. Children will attend the service with their parents until the children's sermon is served. At that time, they will retreat to Room 103 for the children's church program ''Jesus and the Child Sized Parables,'' led by Jody Terhune. All are welcome to attend. Adult worship is led by Natalie Hanson, church pastor.
Creek Restoration Meetings To Begin
Public meetings on stream restoration projects for the Goose Greek and Dutch Hollow Creek watersheds will be held Monday and Tuesday. The Goose Creek portion of the project will be the focus of a meeting held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Hewes BOCES Center in Ashville. The Dutch Hollow portion of the project will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Village Casino in Bemus Point. Both meetings we will present detailed information regarding the purposes of the project, the types of information-gathering activities to be conducted in the field and the anticipated end results of the work. The meetings will also provide an opportunity for the public to share questions or concerns they may have regarding the project.
Auxiliary Post 149 To Meet Monday
The Ira Lou Spring American Legion Post 149 Auxiliary will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the legion post, 364 Fluvanna Ave. All auxiliary members are requested to attend because decisions impacting the future of the organization will be discussed.
Salamanca Board To Meet Tuesday
SALAMANCA - The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the large-group instruction room at the school.
Southwestern Board To Meet
The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold a work-session meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the middle school library to conduct regular business.
TEA Party Patriots To Meet Tuesday
Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will hold its monthly general meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. Discussion will be held regarding the sale of the county home, privatizing the county airport, and freezing wages for upcoming contracts. The group will participate in the July 4 parade in Mayville. The public is invited to attend STTPP meetings.
