BEMUS POINT - One male was taken to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa. via Starflight, and another to Westfield Memorial Hospital following a one-car accident Friday involving a homemade 1923 Model T Ford.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Robert Tynan, 70, and Brian Tynan, 21, both of Bemus Point, were operating the classic car to test its brakes when the brakes failed.
According to the sheriff's report, the vehicle traveled down Robert Tynan's driveway before striking a fence post and coming to rest in a pasture.

Both men were injured in the crash.
Robert Tynan was transported by firefighters to the Maple Springs Fire Department where he was airlifted to Hamot. Brian Tynan was transported by Ellery Center firemen, who were assisted by the Mayville Fire Department, to Westfield. The sheriff's office also responded to the scene.
The severity of their injuries was not known at press-time Friday.
No charges were pressed.
