Frank A. Basile, 83, of 8 Crane St., formerly of 133 Chadwick St., Jamestown, died at 10:38 p.m. Wednes-day (June 20, 2012), in the WCA Hospital.
He was born in James-town, on Nov. 8, 1928, the son of Frank and Frances Paterniti Basile.
Frank was one of the partners in NIBCO Con-struction for more than 20 years and also FRA-JO Construction. He then be-came the owner and opera-tor of Frank Basile Con-struction, having built many houses and office buildings in the area. He also remodeled many homes and offices, and re-tired in 1999.

He was a former member of Maplehurst County Club, Cable Hollow Coun-try Club, Chautauqua Country Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1681, Southern Tier Builders As-sociation, Carpenters Un-ion, War Vets, Frewsburg American Legion and the Boys & Girls Club.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952, and earned the Army of Oc-cupation Medal Germany.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, espe-cially his grandchildren. In earlier years, he played baseball and coached soft-ball. He enjoyed golfing and was known for his sense of humor and kind-ness.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Mordino Basile whom he married on May 23, 1953, a son, Bruce (De-bra) Basile and five daughters: Mary Jo (Jerry) Foti-House, Sandra (Willi-am) Everson and Natalie (Branden) Maggio, James-town, Linda (Don) O'Connor, Hamburg, N.Y. and Jennifer (Chris) Loomis, Ashville, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren: Eric Basile, Juliann Loomis, Morgan, Addie and Nicholas Ever-son, Masen, Owen and Rheese Maggio, all of Jamestown, Leslie (David) Foti-Drayer, Robin and Lisa Foti, Brooklyn, N.Y., Christina Foti, Queens, N.Y., Amy Loomis, Ash-ville, Allison O'Connor, Denver, Colo., Andrew "Drew" O'Connor, Winter Park, Fla., and Sarah (Eric) Benson, Randolph; two great-grandchildren: Riley Basile-Benson and Gracie Benson, Randolph, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Basile; a sister, Mary Basile; and a son-in-law, David A. Foti DDS.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the cele-brant.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Ser-vices, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m..
