HAMMETT, Pa. - Music will be heard at Eriez Speedway on Sunday afternoon. Not the typical horsepower music, but band music as three bands will play on the grounds from noon until 4 p.m.

On the track will be the popular annual autograph session plus a $500-to-win Gannon University Sportsmen Special.

Three bands will be donating their music with the increase in entrance Net Proceeds to benefit veterans through the SGC Hometown Hero's Fund. Visit www.sikxgun.com for details.

After a break in points racing last week when the World of Outlaws came to town, the championship battles will heat up again.

Currently Mike Knight leads the Jay's Auto Wrecking Super Late Model chase. Knight is looking for his second point's championship. Knight was the E-Mod champion in 2011 along with an earlier Super Late Model triumph. Scott Gurdak, a former E-Mod champion is second in points.

Opening night winner Billy Henry currently has an 18-point edge over Max Blair for the Dan's Route 8 Boardwalk Bar & Grill FASTRAK Late Model Championship. Both drivers have wins this season.

Rich Michael Jr. has a substantial point's lead over Jack Young in the Plyler Overhead Door E-Mod championship.

Chris Ottaway, the 2012 Conway & O'Malley Limited Late Model Champion, is leading in his quest to repeat his championship, albeit a narrow margin. With an opening night win, Ottaway currently has an 8 point margin over Steve Kania, looking for his first championship in this class.

Greg Fenno has dominated the Bonnell Collision Center Street Stocks this season and is at the top of the championship chase over Pat McGuire, the only other driver to score a win in this season.

Wade Watson leads Tim Card in the Gannon Sportsmen Championship year-long chase.

Casey Burch has won all but one Kandy's Dinner Theater Challenger feature this season and has a near 100-point edge over Wesley Stull.

Racing begins at 5:30 p.m.
