Leonard M. Lorenzo Jr., 79, of Jamestown, died at 10:22 p.m. Tuesday (June 19, 2012) in the WCA Hos-pital.
He was born in Sinclair-ville on May 29, 1933, the son of the late Leonard M. and Frances Snyder Loren-zo.
He attended Jamestown and Cassadaga high schools before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952. He served worldwide on the USS Coral Sea and the USS Duxbury Bay.

In earlier years, he was employed as a foreman for Atwater Landscaping, Ho-ward Tree Service and As-plaulgh Tree Service. In 1965 he started Len's Landscaping, which is now owned by his son, Leonard M. Lorenzo Jr.
Len enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his garden, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his lifelong friend, Bud Beichner. Over the years, he earned the reputa-tion of being one of the best landscaping and tree service men in the area.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia A. Anderson Lorenzo, whom he married on Dec. 29, 1965; a son, Leonard M. Lorenzo III; two daughters, Kimberly A. (Tim) Smeral-do and Lorraine P. Colwell; four grandchildren, Chloe Brink, Alyssa Himes and Shawn Newbree, all of Jamestown and Amber San-ford of Caldwell, Idaho; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Anne Hirlemann; and two nephews, Jon Hir-lemann and Terry Cardi-nale of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Simp-son.
There will be no funeral service. Visitation will not be observed.
