Monica A. LaSalle of Central Avenue, Brocton, N.Y., died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Heritage Village in Gerry, N.Y.
She was 89 years of age, born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on May 9, 1923, the daughter of the late Stanley and Ellen Niewolak. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. LaSalle was a homemaker. She also operated LaSalle's Grape Farm on Martin Road with her late husband, Albin R. LaSalle, which had been the family operation from 1925 to 2002.
She was a member of St. Dominic's Church of Broc-ton, N.Y., and was a former member of the Brocton-Portland Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her son, Philip A. LaSalle of Fredonia, N.Y.; her grand-sons, Philip J. LaSalle of Dunkirk, N.Y., and Timothy M. LaSalle of New Paltz, N.Y.; her great-granddaughter, Hayden A. LaSalle of Dunkirk, N.Y.; her niece, Diana Doherty of Vero Beach, Fla.; and a nephew, Tom Fern of Ir-vine, Calif.
In addition to her parents, she was prede-ceased by her husband, Al-bin, whom she married on Oct. 15, 1947, and who passed away on June 4, 2002; her brother, Philip Niewolak; and her sister, Isabelle Fern.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. from St. Dominic's Church in Brocton, N.Y. Private entombment will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery Mousoleum. There will be visitation at the Morse Funeral Home, Brocton, N.Y., from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012.
