Midsommer Festival Set For Saturday

June 20, 2012
The Post-Journal

The American-Scandinavian Heritage Foundation will celebrate the annual Festival of Midsommer Day on Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

This is a celebration of the end of the long, dark, cold days of winter. The maypole, or majstang, will be decorated with greens and flowers. Then the maypole will be carried and set in the ground.

This will be followed by dancing, singing and more dancing.
