The Chautauqua Shores Chorus members and guests gathered recently at Millers Grove Restaurant, Fentonville, for their annual installation dinner. Officers that were named for 2012-13 fiscal year are pictured above. Front row, from left, are, Dee Stewart, director; Joan Baer, treasurer; Stacy Jones, membership drive; and Jeannie Rhinehart, 2011-12 Sweet Adeline of the Year. Back row, from left, are Claudia Wittenbrook, engagements; Audrey Zimmerman, secretary/news correspondent and Shari Stevens, team leader. After dinner, in addition to the installation of officers, the 2012-13 Member of the Year Award was presented to Audrey Zimmerman by last year's recipient, Jeannie Rhinehart. The honor is awarded each year to the most outstanding chorus member. The chorus sings four-part harmony, barbershop style and is always looking for new members. The ability to read music is not required, as learning CDs are available. The members meet for practice every Monday night at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church located at 358 E. Fifth St. in Jamestown. To book a performance from the Chautauqua Shores and to arrange compensation, call Claudia at 962-8411. The chorus sings for a variety of audiences or occasions, such as long term nursing facilities, birthdays, memorial services, fairs, and other events. The chorus has a large music repertoire of gospel, patriotic, seasonal numbers, ballads and up-tunes.
