LEON, N.Y. - Duane C. Exford, 68, of Leon-New Albion Road, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Harold and Caroline (Gould) Exford.
On Feb. 4, 1967, he married the former Linda Meyers who survives.
Mr. Exford worked at Carnation/Nestle's Milk Plant in South Dayton, N.Y., for more than 22 years. He then worked for NYS DOT at Conewango, N.Y., for 10 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and traveling.
Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a son, Brian Exford of Leon, N.Y.; a daughter, Alicia (John) Zmuda of Greenville, S.C.; two grandchildren: Boone and Liam Exford; and a sister, Bonnie (Lee) LeBarron of Ruskin, Fla.
He was predeceased by a brother, Myron Exford; and a sister, Coralyn Colvinbach.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or flowers.
