City Woman Caught With $6,000 Worth Of Cocaine

Complaints from concerned citizens in a Jamestown neighborhood led to a drug bust Tuesday afternoon.

May S. Stilson, 34, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after drug investigators from the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 32 W. 15th St. Investigation revealed that numerous sales of illegal narcotics were taking place at the residence.

Upon searching the residence, investigators found Stilson to be in possession of 38.8 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $6,000. She was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance is a class B felony in New York State and carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison if the subject is found guilty. The minimum amount of time served for a class B felony is no less than 1 year and no more than one-third of the maximum sentence imposed.

Stilson is currently being held at the Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment on the charges.
