Barbara A. Hecei, 75, passed into the next life at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, in Warren General Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Warren to the late Glenn F. and Bertha Betts Larson.
A 1954 graduate of War-ren High School, Barbara lived most of her life in Sheffield. She was em-ployed at Bell Telephone for five years before joining the Blair workforce which she retired from in 2000 after 29 years service.
Barbara is survived by a daughter, Patricia Webster and husband Albert, War-ren; two sons: David G Hecei, Jamestown, N.Y., and Robert J. Hecei, Sheffield; four grandchildren: Eliza-beth Gregg and husband, Brandon, Nowell Webster and Tim and James Hecei; a great-granddaughter, Ceci-lia Gregg; a brother, Willi-am G. Larson, Cherry Grove; a sister Nancy J. Il-lig, Edinboro, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hecei was pre-ceded in death by her hus-band, Gabriel D. Hecei, whom she married Aug. 24, 1957, and who died on May 3, 1992; and a sister, Elizabeth J. Dorotics.
Barbara was very family oriented and was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and son-in- law.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012, in the Bor-den-Lloyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Alexis, pastor, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will fol-low in Sheffield Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 14, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
