Mrs. Penny L. Walton, age 60, of Bowen Street, Jamestown, died early Sunday morning at WCA Hospital following a long illness.
Born January 19, 1952, in Salamanca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Freda Fluent Bish.
Mrs. Walton was married January 31, 1987, to John T. Walton, who survives.

Mrs. Walton was employed as an activities director for over 20 years in the nursing home field and was employed with the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Delmar, N.Y. She had previously been employed as a certified nursing aide at the former Salamanca District Hospital and the Salamanca Nursing Home.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting, as well as video-conferencing with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time gambling with her sisters.
Surviving besides her husband are: one daughter, Denise (David) Dickinson of Colorado; two sons: Thomas Manning and Mark Manning, both of North Carolina; six sisters: Pamela (Stuart) Bryant of Florida, Christina (Jerry) Roberson, Salamanca, NY, Theodora Bish, Forestville, N.Y., Aleta (Richard) Dulanski, Salamanca, N.Y., Terry (Richard) Crary, Hastings, N.Y., and Gwendolyn Thurston, Salamanca, N.Y.; her aunt, Eunice Bish, Youngsville, Pa.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Rowena Grey, a brother, Thomas Bish, and a sister, Faye Bish Budzinski.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association and the National Emphysema Foundation, 128 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
