Celoron Concerts Start Wednesday
CELORON - The Celoron Summer Concert Series will feature Nick Battistella, performing a tribute to Frank Sinatra, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Desi Arnaz Bandshell at Lucille Ball Memorial Park. In case of rain, concerts will be in the Celoron Community Center.
Library System Board To Meet
The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
MS?Society To Host Ice Cream Social
The Chautauqua Region MS Society will host its annual ice cream social and business meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Moriah Lodge on Baker Street Extension, Jamestown. Sue Thompson-Binder of the Buffalo Region MS Office will discuss the new direction of the national organization and how it benefits those in the Chautauqua County area. There will be an annual business meeting and review of 2011 activities and goals for 2012 as well as a recap of MS Walk 2012 and pre-planning for the 2013 walk by Christy Missico, event coordinator for the Buffalo region. Anyone in area with multiple sclerosis or an interest in learning more about MS or the MS Walk is invited to attend. For more information or to make a reservation, call Mary Gabalski at 720-1737. Picnic Recollections Due Friday
ELLINGTON - The 100th Anniversary Ellington Town Picnic will be held on Aug. 3-5. A commemorative booklet will be available for sale at the picnic. The picnic committee is requesting people to send their favorite recollections and memories of the Town Picnic to be included in the booklet. Writeups can be sent to the Farman Free Library, PO Box 26, Ellington, NY 14732. Deadline for submission is June 15. For more information, call 483-3055.
Celoron Seniors Cruise RSVPs Due
CELORON - The village of Celoron will sponsor its third annual free two-hour afternoon cruise on the Summer Wind. The cruise will be first offered to Celoron seniors (55 and older). The event, because of space, will be limited to the first 100 to register at the Celoron Village Hall, 21 Boulevard Ave., Celoron. The cruise is from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Summer Wind is docked at Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron. The deadline for seniors to register is today. After that date, the free cruise will be open to all adult Celoron residents. All participants must be at the boat by 12:15 p.m.
Red Cross Donor Drive Is Thursday
The American Red Cross will host a donor-appreciation blood drive for donors and their families on Thursday. Attendees can eat hot dogs and have a chance to meet "Bubba Grape," the Jamestown Jammers mascot. Donors will receive a ticket to a Jammers game and be entered to win a $50 gas gift card.
