Auxiliary To Host Monthly Breakfast

AMVETS Auxiliary 726 is hosting its monthly breakfast Sunday. The breakfast will be held at the post home, the ILS Veterans' Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown, from 9 a.m. to noon. The buffet-style meal features sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, ham, french toast, home fries and fruit cup along with juice and coffee or tea. Breakfast will cost $5 for dads, $7 for other adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 9 and children 4 and under eat free. Proceeds from this breakfast will benefit the scholarship programs. The regular post meeting follows at noon. Any veterans interested in learning about AMVETS are invited to attend the meeting.

Flyers To Hold Flapjack Breakfast

LAKEWOOD - Flyers Gymnastics will host an Applebee's flapjack breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee's Restaurant on Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood. Breakfast costs $6 and will be served by coaches, gymnasts and their families. Proceeds will help pay for a home meet in Jamestown early in 2013. Fundraiser Set For Saturday

FALCONER - The young women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will have a fundraising activity starting at 9 a.m. Saturday in the gazebo at Davis Park, Falconer. Beginning at 9 a.m., the group will sell homemade baked goods, grilled hot dogs, chips and ice cold drinks. Money raised will be used for the group's annual summer camp and other activities throughout the year.

Book Sale Set For Saturday

FREWSBURG - Myers Memorial Library will be participating in the Frewsburg Yard Sales. The book/yard/bake sale will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library at the corner of Ivory and Falconer street. Paperback books, puzzles and yard sale items will be under the big tent. Hardcover and children's books will be in the community room as well as music CDs, audiobooks and movies. Hot dogs and baked goods will be available. Gently used donations are now being accepted. For more information, please call the library at 569-5515.

Legion To Host Bluegrass Music

CELORON - Free bluegrass music will be available at the Celoron American Legion on Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. Backwoods Bluegrass will be the host. Musicians will be able to perform on an open mic.

Herring Breakfast Set For June 17

BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge Herring Breakfast will be on Father's Day Sunday, June 17 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. It is not this Sunday.

Outdoor Club To Kayak Sunday

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak or canoe Conewango Creek from the Akeley put-in on Route 62 to the take-out where the Conewango meets the Allegheny River. Participants will meet at the Akeley put-in at noon. For more information Dennis Anderson in Jamestown at 483-2288.
