Hulse To Play Concert

June 7, 2012
The Post-Journal

Pianist Helga Hulse will return to Jamestown from South Carolina to play a piano recital at Jamestown High School on Sunday, June 17, at 4 p.m.

The recital is part of the celebration of Helga's 90th birthday, which was last September. She was originally scheduled to play at that time but was unable to come back to Jamestown due to health reasons. She will play selections by Bach, Brahms, Chopin and Debussy.

Hulse has influenced hundreds of young and old musicians and pianists in the area via her prominent piano studio during her 38-year tenure in Jamestown.

A reception for Mrs. Hulse will follow in the church parlors of the First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler St., immediately after the piano recital.

There will be no admission charge for the recital and reception, but a free-will offering will be taken to off-set expenses.
