Boyz II Men To Perform At JSBA Friday: Tickets still remain for Friday's 8 p.m. Boyz II Men concert at Jamestown Savings Bank Arena. Call 484-2624 or visit jamestownarena.com to purchase tickets, which start at $39.50.
The four-time Grammy-award winners hit No. 1 for the first time on the Hot 100 Pop Chart with "End of the Road." The group's other No. 1 hits include "I'll Make Love to You" and "One Sweet Day" with Mariah Carey, which holds the record for most consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the chart at 16.
The group has sold more albums worldwide than any other R&B act. It has released 11 albums, including "Twenty," which came out last year. Boyz II Men most recently received Grammy nominations in 2009. The group collaborated with Justin Bieber on his movie "Never Say Never" and on his Christmas album "Under the Mistletoe."
Celoron Rib-Fest To Feature Several Acts: Held at Lucille Ball Memorial Park, several area musical acts will perform at the Celoron Rib-fest over the next few days. Live music at Desi Arnaz Bandshell will be performed today from 6 to 9 p.m. by Willow Creek; Friday from 5 to 7:45 p.m. by Derek Davis and The Tasty Groove and from 8 to 11 p.m. by Smokehouse; and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. by Happy Days, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. by Pressure Sensitive and 8 to 11 p.m. by Synergy.
Loretta Lynn To Play Seneca Casino: Country music star Loretta Lynn will perform in the Seneca Allegany Events Center on Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $35. All are welcome to attend, but individuals under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Visit senecaalleganycasino.com to order tickets.
Lynn has racked up 16 No. 1 hits, including "You Ain't Woman Enough," "Fist City" and "Coal Miner's Daughter."
