JAMESTOWN POLICE

Alberto Acevedo, 22, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing at 8:08 p.m. Sunday after a domestic incident at 23 Barrett Ave. Police report Acevedo was highly intoxicated and started a verbal argument with a man. Acevedo then allegedly threatened the man with a kitchen knife. Acevedo was taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

Kathleen A. Breon, 44, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child at 6 p.m. Sunday. According to a police report, Breon and her 13-year-old daughter were engaged in a domestic dispute when Breon hit her daughter several times in the face and pushed her off the front porch of the residence. The girl went to WCA Hospital for treatment for her injuries. Breon was taken to the Jamestown City Jail.

Rachel A. Rizzo, 36, of Jamestown was charged with insufficient turn signal, failure to yield right-of-way on left turn, moved from lane unsafely, felony driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater at 3:47 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, a vehicle didn't give sufficient notice of a turn and didn't to yield right-of-way to another vehicle before hitting the curb and topping. Rizzo was seen driving the vehicle with three passengers. She was found to be intoxicated and charged. She was arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

Jason R. Zielinski, 36, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to a police report, officers responded to 556 S. Main St. for a domestic incident. Zielinski was intoxicated and started a verbal argument with a woman. He threw several items inside the house and broke two kitchen chairs, all while children were present. Zielinski was taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

Andrew D. Jenkins was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, moving from lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated at 12:14 a.m. Saturday. According to a police report, Jenkins was driving south on Busti-Sugar Grove Road at a high rate of speed before going off of the shoulder of the road, hitting a guardrail and several signs and mailboxes. He also sheered off a utility pole and hit a large tree before coming to a stop. He will be in court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

SHERMAN - James S. Akins, 46, of Erie was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and moving from lane unsafely at 3:07 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle all over the road going across the Chautauqua Lake Bridge on Interstate 86. Deputies found the vehicle and pulled it over. Akins will be in court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

STOCKTON - Darrell N. Shongo, 46, of Stockton was charged with third-degree assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17 at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. He will be in court later.

DAYTON - Joshua D. Rindfleisch, 20, of Gowanda was charged with driving while intoxicated at 11:05 p.m. Sunday. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court later.
