Poland Seniors Plan June 20 Meeting

Town of Poland Seniors will meet June 20 in the Kennedy Fire Hall for a potluck lunch. Seniors attending should take a dish to pass and their table service. All are welcome to attend.

Walt and Julie Heilman, Shirley Schauers, Mary Radspinner and Jan Smith are the committee.

Sally Canniff, trip chairwoman, spoke on the June 12 trip to Amish Experience in Middlefield, Ohio at a recent meeting. The bus will leave the Kennedy Fire Hall at 7 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m. She also spoke on the trip to Hidden Valley.

Rose Marie Cornell, Bonnie Piazza, Carolyn Widmark, and Bob and Donna Cross were the committee for the potluck lunch, attended by 50 members. Eva Baker, president, called tables and the meeting to order with a flag salute and song. Lou Ball accompanied on piano. Bev Littlefield led table grace. Mary Hilliman and Betty Meade were welcomed as new members.

Birthdays were celebrated by Cliff Barnes, Leona Smith and Karen Lincoln.

Entertainment was provided by Donna Cross who gave humorous readings and thanked veterans in attendance for their service to their country for Mother's Day.

The oldest mother in attendance was Florence Cline, 93, and the youngest was Bonnie Piazza, 61.

Mothers with the most children were Betty Meade, Mrs. Littlefield and Lois Chapman.

Donna Cross, entertainment chairwoman, stated she would be resigning.
