ITHACA - Randolph eighth-grader Nolan Ditcher shot a 10-over-par 82 in the opening round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Boys Golf Championships at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University on Sunday.
Ditcher's score is 11 shots out of the lead, but he was alsoin a three-way tie for the second-best score by three Section 6 golfers.
Also shooting 82s were Wil Bathurst of Olean and David Berkun of Williamsville North.

Section 6's best score was an even-par 72 by Andrew Romano of Depew, who is tied for second place in the field of 99.
The leader with a 1-under 71 is Ben DeForest of Rondout Valley.
The tournament concludes today.
