ASHVILLE - The Western NY Food Express Truck will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Proof of ZIP code address is required for the free food, mostly fresh produce. Anyone attending should bring their own bags. Lakewood Changes Garbage Schedule
LAKEWOOD - Starting this week, garbage will be collected Thursdays in the village of Lakewood. The specific recyclable collected the first Thursday of each month will include both tin and clear glass. It is suggested residents place their household garbage and recyclables out for collection Wednesday evenings. A flier explaining the changes will be mailed to Lakewood residents before the end of the week.
Foster Parent Meeting Is Tuesday

AARP?To Host Courses June 11-12
SALAMANCA - The Salamanca Senior Center is hosting a six-hour Driver Safety Program on Monday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 12. Classes will be held at the Senior Center, 20 Main St., Salamanca, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening. Drivers must attend both sessions to receive credit for the course. The cost is $17 for AARP members and $19 for non-members. Drivers of all ages are welcome. Course participants may be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points on their driving record. Al Ormond will be the instructor. Veterans Official Hosts Meetings
John B. Sampson, Cattaraugus County Veterans Service Agency director, will be available to answer questions about Veterans Administration benefit laws, health care system or other issues at three Cattaraugus County sites in June. He will be at the Gowanda American Legion post from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday; the Randolph American Legion post from 10 a.m. to noon June 13; and the Franklinville Town Clerk's office from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 19. He is also available in the Cattaraugus County Office Building in Little Valley from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays.
