JAMESTOWN POLICE
Brandon K. Sorenson, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree assault. On May 31, at 11:12 p.m., Jamestown Police Department officers responded to the area of 630 E. Second St., for a report of a fight. After further investigation, it was found that Sorenson allegedly punched the victim in the face multiple times causing a laceration and pain to the victim's face. Sorenson was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is currently awaiting arraignment.
Patrick A. Ormbsy, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree harassment and second-degree obstructing government administration at 10:45 a.m. Friday. Officers responded to a reported domestic incident. On-scene officers made contact with a female victim that was locked out of the residence in which she lives. The victim explained that she was involved in a domestic with Ormbsy, who allegedly threw a ceramic item at her head, pulled and shoved her out of the house and locked the exterior doors. Officers attempted to make contact with Ormbsy with negative results. He was observed walking in the house and refused to answer the door. Officers made entry to the house, arrested Ormbsy without incident. He was transported to city jail and is being held pending arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
EAST OTTO - Steven J. Bates, 25, of 9804 North Otto Road, Otto, was arrested on a warrant issued from East Otto Town Court charging him with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct following a domestic incident May 29. Arraigned in Otto Town Court, Bates was jailed in lieu of $2,500 cash bail to appear back in court June 11.
