Mary M. Dixson, 65, of W.E. Jamestown, formerly of Falconer, passed away Thursday (May 31, 2012), in her home.
She was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Sykesville, Pa., the daughter of Arther and Rose DePillo Heffner.
Mary was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and in earlier years was employed by Proto Tool. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Anderson Screw Products, retiring in 2010.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed antiquing, attending flea markets and gardening. She was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion Auxiliary, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley E. Dixson, whom she married Jan. 29, 1966, in Jamestown; two sons: Stanley G. Dixson of DuBois, Pa., and Aaron (Stacey) Dixson of W.E. Jamestown; three grandchildren: Sophia, Michael and Gillian Dixson all of W.E. Jamestown; her mother, Rose Heffner of Falconer; and a sister, Rose Mary Ellingson of Falconer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arther Heffner; and a brother, Arther Joseph Heffner.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Cathy Smith, chaplain of Hospice of Chautauqua County, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
