MANSFIELD - An 11-year-old bicyclist was taken to the hospital Thursday after she was struck by a vehicle.
According to a police report, a 2012 Dodge minivan operated by a 49-year-old from Little Valley was traveling westbound on Cross Road in the town of Mansfield when Grace Dowdell, 11, of Mansfield turned her bike into the path of the motor vehicle.
She was struck by the van and sustained injuries to the left side of her body. Dowdell was flown to Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo by MercyFlight and her status is currently unknown. No charges are being filed as a result of this accident.
