CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
NORTH HARMONY - Ryan J. Burke, 25, of Kenmore was charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI per se and driving across hazard markings at 2:05 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, deputies saw a vehicle repeatedly swerving out of its lane early Sunday morning and pulled the vehicle over. Following processing, Burke was released and will be in court later.
HANOVER - Michael W. Lease, 24, of Hamburg was charged with DWI per se for having a 08 or higher blood-alcohol content, DWI common law and failure to stop at a stop sign at 1:39 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, deputies saw a vehicle being operated by Lease fail to stop at a stop sign. He will be in court later.
HANOVER - Mario J. Vacanti, 21, of Tonawanda was charged with second-degree assault at 7:25 p.m. Saturday. According to a police report, Sheriff's deputies were investigating a report of a disorderly person on Iola Drive in Sunset Bay. While investigating that incident, a concerned citizen alerted deputies to a fight in a parking lot on Iola Drive involving weapons. One person involved was stabbed. Vacanti was identified as a suspect and was found and charged, with his weapon confiscated. The other person was taken to Lake Shore Hospital by EMTs. Due to a large crowd gathering in the area and other people involved with the fight, surrounding agencies were called in to help with crowd control. Vacanti was arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail with no bail. He will be in court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
RIPLEY - Ryan G. Rummings, 25, of Ripley was charged with second-degree harassment at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 21. He was released on his own recognizance and will be in court later.
WESTFIELD - Benjamin L. Reed, 27, of Westfield was charged with criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 10:05 p.m. Saturday. Reed was issued appearance tickets and will be in court later.
