Our mother, Donna Jean ''DJ'' Chase, 76, of Del Rio, Texas, passed away on May 18, 2012, in her sleep at home, after a long and courageous battle with Scleroderma.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimbra Chase of Jamestown, N.Y.; sons: Cal-vin (Terri) Chase of Cape Coral, Fla., and Scott (Tam-my) Chase of Randolph, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Kate (Stephen Postle) Sweeney, Dr. Adam Swee-ney, Nicholas and Chelsea Chase, Danielle and Meghan Chase; also, one great-granddaughter, Harper Jean Russell; and sisters-in-law: Lucy and Shirley Sinclair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David E. and Josephine (Brink) Sinclair; and brothers: Art and Curt Sinclair.
DJ was born in Rue, Pa., July 5, 1935, and graduated from Otto High School in 1954 in Duke Center, Pa. She worked for WCA Hos-pital in Jamestown N.Y., for many years. She then moved to Del Rio, Texas, and worked for a local car dealership.
In retirement, DJ enjoyed visiting friends, nursing homes and comforting oth-ers. She loved her family, church, playing cards and games. She was a devoted member of the Del Rio Church of Christ.
Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ of Del Rio or the Scleroderma Foundation. There are no services planned at this time.
