Janet and Steven Bowman of Jamestown, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Marie, to Chase Andrew Weidmann, the son of Kim and John Weidmann of Germantown, Wis. Miss Bowman is also the granddaughter of Theodore Bogdan of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Carol Bogdan, and Richard Bowman of Lakewood, N.Y., and the late Mary Bowman.
Miss Bowman is a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School, a 2009 graduate of the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and is pursuing her Ph.D. in biological chemistry at the University of Michigan. She is employed by the University of Michigan as a graduate student research assistant. Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of Dominican High School in Milwaukee, Wis., a 2009 graduate of the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and is pursuing his Ph.D. in biological chemistry at the University of Michigan. He is employed by the University of Michigan as a graduate student research assistant.
An Oct. 6, 2012, wedding is planned in Ann Arbor, Mich.
