Jamestown police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in the city Thursday afternoon.
At 5:03 p.m., officers responded to a personal-injury hit-and-run accident at the intersection of West Eighth and Washington streets.
A35-year-old Jamestown man was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on West Eighth Street when a navy blue-colored sedan with light-colored pinstripes traveling eastbound on West Eighth Street failed to yield the right of way when making a left turn in the intersection.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained injuries and decided to seek medical attention on his own. The motorcycle suffered extensive damage.
The hit-and-run driver, a 25- to 35-year-old male, sped away from the scene in his blue sedan in a northbound direction on Washington Street.
