To the Readers' Forum:
My husband and I were involved in a house fire on March 20 in Sherman.
We arrived by ambulance from the Sherman and Mayville Fire Department to Hamot Hospital in Erie. We were flown to UPMC Pittsburgh burn unit. As a result of the Amish workers, my neighbors and the fire departments, I am here to write this.
I wish to thank the Sherman, Mayville, Chautauqua, Clymer and Bemus Point fire departments. I wish to express my thanks to the ambulance drivers for their quick service and for Michael Courtney for carrying my unconscious husband out a second story window.
Please support your local fire department for one day it could be you or a loved one in a fire.
