We're coming up on an exciting time of year for local music fans. Several festival shows are just around the corner, including the Great Blue Heron, the Ash Bash and others.
More outdoor shows should be coming along following Memorial Day, the unofficial start to the summer season.

HIGHLIGHTS
A Band Named Sue, The Bogarts To Play Southern Tier Brewery: In celebration of the nationwide American Craft Beer Week, Southern Tier Brewery will host its Public Day on Saturday afternoon. The event will run from 1 to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the brewery, located at 2072 Stoneman Circle in Lakewood.
The event will be free and open to the public. More than 25 Southern Tier beers will be available, and tasting tickets can be purchased by those ages 21 and up.
Buffalo's A Band Named Sue and local band The Bogarts will perform.
The brewery will also host the award-winning duo Mike & Pete's BBQ Roadshow.

The Forum To Host Weekly Comedy Show: Featuring a mix of skits, improv and a few twists, The Forum, located inside Galactic Systems Headquarters, will host a new weekly comedy show, "nameless!"
The show will launch Wednesday at 8 p.m. The first season will star Brandon Abbott, Bronson Abbott and Sam Abbott, and will feature guest comedians throughout the year.
After its opening Wednesday, "nameless!" improv comedy will run every Wednesday at 8 p.m., with the doors to The Forum opening at 7:30 p.m. The audience is invited to bring unique items that the actors will use as props during the show.

Jamestown Area Community Orchestra Annual Spring Concert: 4 p.m., First Covenant Church, 520 Spring St., Jamestown. There won't be a charge, but a free-will offering will be taken.
The Svenska Spelman Swedish Gammaldans Group: 7 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1255 Prendergast Ave., Jamestown. The program is part of the congregation's Music Salon Series. Call 488-1902 for more information.
Wednesday Night
