MAYVILLE - The sixth inning turned out to be decisive for Chautauqua Lake in Division 3 baseball on Tuesday afternoon.
Trailing Franklinville (2-9, 4-13), 10-6, Chautauqua Lake (5-7, 7-8) rallied for five runs in the sixth for a come-from-behind 11-10 victory.
Kyle Mayer and Nate Gleason had two-run singles and Dan Gleason was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to account for the uprising in the sixth.
Dan Gleason went out in the seventh and preserved the win for Ian Clute by hurling a perfect inning.
Both teams scored five times in the first inning with Franklinville getting key two-run singles from Jeff Schley and Christian Bingham.
Chautauqua Lake bounced back featuring RBI singles by Mayer, Nate Gleason and Ryan Linnecke.
Nate and Dan Gleason and Mayer each had two hits with Mayer and Dan Gleason driving in three runs for CL.
