Big Late Inning Leads Clymer To Division 4 Win

SHERMAN - Clymer broke things open late in the game to pull away for an 8-4 victory over Sherman (2-6, 2-8) in Division 4 baseball on Friday.

The two teams battled back and fourth until the seventh inning when the Pirates (4-4) scored four runs to put things out of reach.

Mitch Einink got the win for Clymer, going the distance while giving up five strikeouts and no walks. Jake Wiggers drilled a home run in the fourth while Denton Holthouse had two hits and Matt DeStevens doubled.

Ryan Robson got the loss for the Wildcats, surrendering five hits while striking out 11 with seven walks. David Lyon led Sherman with three hits, Travis Henry and Robson had two hits and Jeremy Cole doubled.
