T'BIRDS FALL
MAYVILLE - The Chautauqua Lake girls track and field team lost to Westfield, 89-47, and Franklinville, 83-53, in a double-dual meet.
For Westfield, Courtney Zentz was a triple winner while Miranda Warner and DeeAnna Rammalt won two events apiece.
Zentz captured the 100-meter dash (13.9), the shot put (26-2) and the triple jump (28-11); Warner won the 100 hurdles (18.4) and the high jump (5-1); and Rammalt was first in the long jump (13-2) and the 200 (29.1).

Cheyanne Staufenberger led Franklinville with four victories and Kelsey Brown, Johanna Farrand and Anna O'Neal were each double victors.
Staufenberger earned wins in the 100 hurdles (18.3), the 400 hurdles (1:14.6), the 200 (29.8) and the long jump (13-11); Brown led the way in the 400 (1:09.4) and the 800 (2:43.7); Farrand won the 1,500 (5:48.9) and the 3,000; and O'Neal was victorious in the shot put (28-10) and the discus (77-4).

Maple Grove took all but two events in remaining unbeaten.

BEARS PREVAIL
CLYMER - Morgan Scarpino was outstanding for Frewsburg as it captured a girls track meet from Clymer and Forestville.
Scarpino won the 110 high hurdles (17.9), the high jump (4-6), the long jump (13-9) and the triple jump (30-11) as the Bears took care of Clymer, 79-51, and Forestville. Clymer beat Forestville, 99-24, in the other meet.
Kati Winterburn and Allison Chitester also were double winners for the Bears. Winterburn captured the 400 (1:02.6) and 200 (28.7) and Chitester the shot put (24-2) and the discus (71-7).
